WORK METHODOLOGY / PROCEDURE OF KITCHEN PLATFORM OR COUNTER FIXING

 

Ø  Before cutting and fixing of granite slab, visual colour match shall be done to ensure that an acceptable colour match is achieved. Only approved material shall be used.

Ø  Detailed drawing shall be available at the time of fixing.

Ø  The position & marking of vertical & horizontal supports shall be marked on wall as per drawing

Ø  All chiseling work for vertical & horizontal supports shall be completed before plastering.

Ø  The chiseling for sufficient bearing (at least 20 mm deep)  shall be done by cutter machine only.

Ø  The vertical support shall be in line & plumb

Ø  Fixing of sub base of platform on the vertical support shall be in line & level & in slope as specified.

Ø  Sub base of platform shall be of 25mm thick Kadappa and 20mm thick cement mortar 1: 4 (1 Cement: 4 sand) or as per drawing.

Ø  For vertical support 25mm thick Kadappa stone shall be used or as per client recommendation or as per drawing.

Ø  Ensure that the nahani trap shall be fixed at sink bottom & sealing of the hole of outlet in wall with rich cement mortar.

Ø  Ensure that proportion of mortar shall be 1 : 4 (01 Cement : 04 Sand)

Ø  Height of platform shall be as per drawing from FFL, required slope shall be provided.

Ø  Fascia shall be fixed as per details shown in drawing .

Ø  A slot shall be left for gas pipe line in kitchen platform.

Ø  Hole shall be drilled in platform for inlet & outlet pipes.

Ø  All joints shall be filled with approved joint filler or with white cement

Ø  All edges of the top shall be rounded off & polished

Ø  Top of platform shall be covered with POP. Required finishes shall be done.

Ø  Damaged material shall not be used.

Ø  Sink will be properly fixed as per detail mentioned in drawing.

Ø  Cleaning shall be done properly.

Ø  Curing should be done for min 3 to 5 days.
