WORK METHODOLOGY / PROCEDURE OF INSTALLATION OF ALUMINIUM SLIDING WINDOW

 

Ø  Fixing aluminum sliding window fixing work shall be started before gypsum plaster work or as per client recommendation/ as per practicality

Ø  The window opening shall be provided during constructing of RCC wall as shown in the architectural drawing.

Ø  Reference line and level shall be marked nearby location to verify the level of aluminum sliding window to be fixed.

Ø  Top level marking shall be done to keep the top level of all window same or as per drawing.

Ø  A reference mark will be fixed and the level to all aluminium window will be transferred with the help of water-level pipe or Auto level as per shop drawing.

Ø  Aluminum sliding window making and Fixing shall be done by approved Façade vendor as per predetermined size.

Ø  Before making & fixing of aluminum sliding window, quality of all incoming materials (i.e. Aluminium section, Glass, gasket, all hardware fittings etc.) shall be approved as per project specification.

Ø  Aluminium frame shall be powder coated with approved RAL code as per architect.

Ø  Aluminium section cutting & frame making shall be done as per approved drawing.

Ø  L type aluminium Clit shall be provided at the corner of the aluminium sections for assembling of the frames or as per shop drawing requirements.

Ø  Slot for water outlet shall be provided

Ø  Physical dimensions of the assembled frame shall be checked before fixing at location.

Ø  Required slot shall be provided for fixing of sliding window lock push.

Ø  Drainage outlet holes shall be provided in bottom track section.

Ø   After making of frames, frames shall be fixed at the location as per marking of the line and levels.

Ø  PVC spacer packing shall be provided at the gap between aluminium frame and the face of RCC wall for proper alignment.

Ø  Required numbers of screw/anchor fastener shall be fixed on a side of frame for fixing of frames with RCC wall.

Ø  Aluminium window frames shall be truly vertical with the help of plumb-bob.

Ø  Before permanently fixing the Aluminium window frames with concrete surface, the alignment and top-level of the Aluminium window frames shall be checked properly.

Ø  After final fixing and checking of frames, sliding shutter shall be fixed in the frame or a single frame which ever will be possible.

Ø  Required no of rollers shall be fixed in sliding shutters before fixing of sliding shutter. All roller shall be as per design requirement.

Ø  After final fixing and checking of aluminium window frame and shutter, backer rod shall be provided in the gap all around window frames from both side of the frame. At least 10 mm deep gap shall be maintain around the frame for silicon fixing.

Ø  Section shall be as per drawing/specification. Track will be checked as per drawing.

Ø  After providing of backer rod, the gap shall be filled with silicon.

Ø  Abro masking tape shall be provided around the frame as well as on wall to protect the exposed surface from silicon contact.

Ø  After the silicon have dried, temporarily provided abro masking tape shall be removed and any other marks of silicon on aluminium frames shall be removed and cleaned.

Ø  Window shall be defect free and functioning will be proper.
